The kids and I just finished Fablehaven last night. It was my second trip to Fablehaven, but the first for the my 10 and under crew. Did it deliver?
Oh yes. They loved it!
And how could they not? It’s the first book in a five-book series about a brother and sister who team up with their grandma and grandpa to care for and protect Fablehaven: a preserve for all the magical creatures you can imagine! The good creatures are magical, occasionally beautiful, and frequently mischievous. The bad creatures are magical, occasionally beautiful, and always dangerous.
Can you tell which ones are good and which ones are bad?
The adventure factor is high, and the peril is intense enough to keep the kids on the edge of their seats and their dad interested in finding out what happens next. We were excited to get to the end, but dissapointed when it ended. We’re anxious to get started on the next adventure!
