An aged veteran (105!) tells a story looking back at his youth of when he talked his way into helping drive a couple Giraffes from the East Coast to San Diego, California. He tells of the many obstacles he meet along the way, including the truck getting stuck under a bridge and meeting an over-eager young photographer hoping to publish a story about the giraffes. She causes more than her share of trouble along the way. She had her own secrets, as does Woody, the main character writing his memoirs. Many mischief makers along the way. And a grumpy giraffe trainer make up the car.
This story was a fun take on historical fiction.
No content concerns. Topics include theft, secret trysts, half truths, and outright lies. All manageable!
Happy Reading!
