My Mistborn re-read continues. Shadows of Self was a blast to read. I’d forgotten how heavy the ending was.
I’m getting spoiled by these amazing Sanderson fight scenes. I’ve been reading (and loving) so many of them over the last few weeks that I’m afraid I might be taking them for granted.
Luckily, awesome never gets old.
If you haven’t read Brandon Sanderson yet, you’re missing out. I like what I wrote below back in 2016: He’s not a world builder. He’s a universe builder.
Happy Reading!

The Streak Continues
As expected, Shadows of Self was outstanding. Brandon Sanderson continues to be my favorite author.
If you aren’t familiar with Brandon Sanderson yet, Mistborn is a great place to start. You’ll be happy you do.
For those already familiar with the Cosmere, Shadows of Self is the first time I really started feeling all the parts coming together. Brandon Sanderson isn’t just a brilliant world builder…he’s a brilliant UNIVERSE builder. Literally.
Off to Bands of Mourning I go.
