The Burning Bridge (Ranger’s Apprentice, #2) by John Flanagan

A fun story with annoying writing…

It’s a good thing I’m a sucker for a fun story, because this would be a very unhappy review if the story were as juvenile as the writing in this book. A lot of people love these books, so maybe my standards are too high. And I get that it’s written for 10-year-olds. But still. Sorry.

I’d decided I didn’t need to continue with the series, but then I ran right smack into my nemesis…a big fat cliffhanger. So I’m now going on to the third. Maybe the writing gets better?
