Leven Thumps and the Gateway to Foo (Leven Thumps, #1) by Obert Skye

There’s nothing particularly wonderful about this first Leven Thumps book. It’s perfectly clean and wholesome–just right for my 10 year old to read. The story is far fetched and the plot is too abstract for me to really get emotionally envolved. However, as the pages turned toward to end, the wackiness actually started feeling endearing. I found that as long as I didn’t take the story too seriously, I enjoyed myself.

I’m not ready to declare myself a Foo Fan, but I will recommend it to 10 year olds everywhere. And I’ll for sure be reading the rest of the series with the hope that it will get better!
