I’m going to assume he’s read Harry Potter and every Brandon Sanderson book (because there are a lot). If he hasn’t, start there. Also, I removed Sanderson, Evans, Tolkien, and Islington from this list because they all would have been on there otherwise!

These all are super fun, and they are all content appropriate. The further down the list you go, the more advanced they get, so there will be more grown up content at the end of the list than the beginning, but these are all books I’d be comfortable letting my 13 year old read.
