Funny this was showing up. I was cleaning up some old posts and accidentally posted it immediately instead of post dating it like I intended. Even though I caught it right away looks like it’s still showing up in the reader! Anyway, I read this series like 6 years ago. Anyway, I enjoy it too. Like you, I was extremely disappointed in the Hero’s of Olympus series (I’m certain for the same reason, too). He lost me as a supporter because of that. He’s now on my blacklist.
I enjoyed Heroes of Olympus but the second Magnus Chase was his worst book yet. Trials of Apollo though was really good and I’m hoping it keeps up with the second one. It had more of the magic of the original series and being from a gods perspective was a nice change.
Ha! These were just a few postings I needed to do as place holders. They should have a time stamp of like 6 years ago or something like that, so I’m surprised it popped up on your feed!

I liked the Percy Jackson series. Once Riordan moved on to the second series, he lost me.

Ya, I’m afraid I’m done with Rick Riorden. He hasn’t given me any reason to change my mind about him yet.

Haha that’s funny! I thought you were taking on a new minimal philosophy with your reviews.
